Direct Debit

Provides your business with a cost-effective and convenient way to collect regular payments from your customer base. 

Please note: You'll need to submit a request to add Direct Debit to your NAB Connect set-up.  Simply login to NAB Connect and click on the Forms & information link in the 'Self-service tools' section to download the 'Domestic Payments Service - Direct Debit' Additions/Amendments Request Form.  You'll need to have a Debit User ID before you can complete this form.  If you don't have a Debit User ID, please contact your NAB Banker to apply for one.

Data File Download service

Gives you the ability to download the following files:

  • Account Information (BAI2 format)
  • BPAY Reports
  • Direct Entry Returns Reports
  • Locked Box Reports

Please note: You'll need to submit a request to add this service to your NAB Connect set-up.  Simply login to NAB Connect and click on the Forms & information link in the 'Self-service tools' section to download the 'Data File Download Service' Additions/Amendments Request Form.

Improved payment printouts

Changes to your payment printouts include:

  • for Domestic, Direct Credit and Payroll payments, the debit account information has been moved from the payment summary at the top of the page to the transactions list; and
  • for International payments, the final amount debited from your account (rather than the indicative amount) will display on printouts.

Easier to navigate transaction history

The 'Transaction history' screens, including the filter function, are now easier to navigate.  Your account history will also automatically default to the previous day's transactions to help make account reconciliation easier. 

Improved search capability for the Customer Vouchers Online (CVOL) service

We have improved the search capability for the CVOL service (e.g. when searching by date and BSB ranges).  You can also search for vouchers on accounts where the BSB has been renumbered.

Ability to migrate more payment templates to NAB Connect

You can now migrate up to 250 payment templates from National Online and NAB Internet Banking to NAB Connect using the Data Migration Wizard.

18 months account history

You now have access to 18 months transaction history and 18 months of end-of-day account balance summaries, making it more convenient to track your payments.

Customisable account viewing rights

You can now control which business accounts each of your NAB Connect users can see.

Please note: You'll need to submit a request to customise your account viewing rights.  Simply login to NAB Connect and click on the Forms & information link in the 'Self-service tools' section to download the relevant amendment form.

Payments to Non-Bank Financial Institutions

Payments can now be made to Non-Bank Financial Institutions (e.g. Bendigo Bank), enabling you to transact with broader range of your business partners.

Updated online help

Comprehensive help is just a mouse click away - simply click Help in the top right-hand corner of NAB Connect. 

What's more, we have also updated our Help & FAQs webpage to include downloadable Quick Reference Guides, which show you how to use the most common services within NAB Connect.

Helpful error messages

We know that some of our error messages in NAB Connect were less than helpful.  These messages now explain what's wrong, and what you need to do - in plain English!
