Join our team

We’re committed to helping Indigenous talent, businesses and communities achieve their goals. We combine years of business experience and understanding with real relationships, built on what matters to you and your community.

Cultural awareness programs

We provide a range of opportunities for our people to lift their understanding and actively get involved through our cultural awareness initiatives.

This includes cross-cultural training, specialist experiences for our senior executives, employee community secondments and skilled volunteering.

Cooee Yarning Circle

We recognise that connection is a large part of First Nations cultures, and we celebrate this through our Cooee Yarning Circle. Established in 2019, the group’s goal is to encourage meaningful connections and provide a safe space for our First Nations colleagues to share knowledge, ideas and experiences with their peers.

NAB First Nations ERG

In 2023, NAB’s First Nations Employee Resource Group (ERG) was launched. Having a shared understanding forms a strong basis, which is central to true reconciliation and progress. The ERG seeks to create a culturally safe environment within NAB where First Nations colleagues have a clear sense of community, and everyone is encouraged to join and support.

Building each other up

“I have been blessed since joining NAB in 2009 to have worked with many inspiring, dedicated and capable First Nations bankers and community leaders. We have formed a supportive network and actively work to build each other up and support career progression that respects our unique family and community responsibilities. I am grateful for the support I have received in my career development, growth as First Nations leader and in facilitating my relocation for career opportunities to Narrm and home to Wonnarua Country.”

Adam, Gringai Wonnarua man, Associate Director, Indigenous Business Banking

“Working at NAB has been a rich journey of experiences, and I take great pride in the diverse teams I have worked with and roles I’ve had. It’s a place where I am confident to explore new opportunities, am supported in a workplace that respects my culture, and I feel encouraged to thrive in both my personal and professional life.”
