  • To understand the requirements you need to set up Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP).

Connection requirements

Your business will need to meet the following minimum requirements to connect.

Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) client software

Your SFTP client will need to establish connection via a port to the NAB hosts. 

Refer to the NAB Connect Automated reporting guide you received when you joined or contact your NAB business banking representative for a copy.

Secure Socket Shell (SSH) Keys - public and private

  • Cipher should be AES 256
  • Configured as RSA/4096
  • MAC should be SHA1/SHA2

IP address/es

  • Static IP addresses are required for whitelisting
  • Up to 20 IP address listings are available which can be comprised of individual, ranges, or a combination
  • A range cannot exceed /28 subnet
  • For cloud-based packages, static IP/s from the internet gateway exit point are required

Operating system requirements

Windows and UNIX based SFTP Clients are supported.

File requirements

Reporting files will meet NAB’s documented File format specifications
