Frequently asked questions about debit cards

Here are some common debit card topics that you might be interested in.

Daily limits on NAB Business Visa Debit cards

There’s a daily cash withdrawal limit on your NAB Business Visa Debit card of $2,000 per day. This applies to all NAB Business Visa Debit cards.

This limit applies to ATM cash withdrawals and to any extra cash you request as part of an EFTPOS transaction.

When you're using an EFTPOS terminal, remember to press 'Credit' to take advantage of Visa's added security benefits.

What happens when a debit card expires

Your card expires on the last day of the month shown on the front of the card. We’ll post you a new card before your old card expires.

Once you've received your new card, destroy your old one. You can do this by cutting it in half diagonally through both the magnetic strip and chip (if your card has one).

If you should've received a new card but it hasn't arrived yet, see us in any branch or call us on 13 10 12, Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 8:00pm (AEST/AEDT), Saturday to Sunday, 9:00am to 6:00pm (AEST/AEDT).

We won’t automatically reissue a new card at expiry if you haven’t used the card for the previous two years. If you have an overseas address, a card will continue to be automatically reissued.

If your unused card expires and you’d like a new one, you can order one via the NAB app or NAB Internet Banking using the replace lost, stolen or damaged card process.
