What to do when your card expires

Your card expires on the last day of the month shown on the front of the card. You don’t need to contact us; we’ll post you a new card before your old card expires.

What to do with your old card

Once you've received your new card, destroy your old one. You can do this by cutting it in half diagonally through both the magnetic strip and chip (if your card has one).

If your card hasn’t arrived

If you should've received a new card but it hasn't arrived yet, see us in any branch or call us on 13 22 65, Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 7:00pm (AEST/AEDT), Saturday to Sunday, 9:00am to 6:00pm (AEST/AEDT).

Unused cards

We won’t automatically reissue a new card at expiry if you haven’t used the card for the previous two years. If you have an overseas address, a card will continue to be automatically reissued.

If your unused card expires and you’d like a new one, you can order one via the NAB app or NAB Internet Banking by permanently blocking and replacing the expired card.
