NAB Ready Together

As Australians face more frequent natural disasters, there’s a growing need to help communities become more resilient.

We’re playing our part through NAB Ready Together, opens in new window. This NAB and NAB Foundation flagship program helps Australians withstand and recover from natural disasters. When you’re threatened by bushfires, floods or cyclones, we'll be there.

Whatever comes, we’re ready together.

Disaster relief partnerships proudly supported by NAB Foundation

It takes many hands to get communities back up and running after a disaster. That’s why NAB and NAB Foundation partner with disaster relief organisations to help communities recover faster.

Disaster Relief Australia

Disaster Relief Australia, opens in new window (DRA) responds quickly to large-scale disasters, rapidly deploying disaster relief teams in Australia and around the world in the wake of disasters. With over 3,000 volunteers and Disaster Relief Teams across Australia, DRA uses the skills and experiences of military veterans, first responders and motivated community members to help those impacted by disasters on the road to recovery. NAB Foundation’s major partnership with DRA supports them to recruit 3,000 corporate and community volunteers and deploy 1,000 of these volunteers through the NAB Foundation Recovery Crew. In 2024, 470 corporate and community volunteers were deployed to 12 operations around Australia, including 237 NAB colleagues.

Girl on Fire and NAB logo

Girls on Fire

Girls on Fire, opens in new window is a not-for-profit organisation driving change in the emergency services sector. With continued support from the NAB Foundation, Girls on Fire have expanded their fire and resilience programs across Australia, empowering more young people to step forward and be leaders in their community.

The programs aim to train the next generation of firefighters and improve gender diversity and inclusion in the emergency sector. During a Girls on Fire resilience camp, facilitators take participants through hands-on practical rotations to help young girls and gender diverse kids build resilience and show them what leadership under pressures looks like.

“Everyone has a role to play in protecting Australia from disasters. That’s why we’re focused on inspiring the next generation of young girls and gender diverse kids.

It’s incredible and with NAB Foundation’s continued support and the signing of a new three-year partnership I’ve been able to reach more young people across Australia,” says Bronnie Mackintosh, CEO and Founder of Girls on Fire.
