Domestic payments

Please note

  • All payments (excluding RTGS) made after the specified cut-off time will process on the next business day.
  • RTGS payments made after the specified cut-off time will need to be re-submitted with the next business day's date. Post and future dated RTGS payments are not supported.
  • Public holidays may also affect processing times. Refer to daylight savings and holiday payment processing for more information.

BPAY payments

If you submit a BPAY Batch payment before the specified cut-off time on a business day, we’ll send the payment details to the biller’s bank on the same day. The biller is required (under BPAY rules) to treat your payment as being received that same day as well.

Payments made after the specified cut-off time will usually be treated as being received by the biller on the next business day. The time that it takes for the biller’s account to be credited will depend on the policy and systems of the biller’s bank.

BPAY Batch payments submitted after the cut-off time will be processed on a later day. You will simply need to nominate a future business day for the payment to be processed (up to 90 days in advance).

  • You can submit an international payment after the cut-off time if you’re happy for it to be processed on a later day. You’ll need to nominate a future business day for the payment to be processed (up to 10 days in advance).

  • Payments processed before cut-off time will appear on your statement as per the payment value date.
  • Samoa Tala and CFP Francs are manually processed. These payments processed before cut-off time will appear on your statement with the next business day's date.
