What are payment approvals?
Payment approvals allow you to set up an account so it requires either one or two people to approve payments before they’ll be processed
They can be used by any customer registered for NAB Internet Banking on any personal or business account.
You may want to set up payment approvals for your joint accounts or for your business accounts for control over who can create or approve payments and transfers.
How to set up payment approvals
Setting up payment approvals is easy. First, if you’re not already using online banking, register for NAB Internet Banking. Second, visit your nearest NAB branch or speak to your banker to complete a payment approvals form.
Once set up, you can create and approve your online payments using the NAB app or NAB Internet Banking.
Accounts that have been set up with payment approvals will need approval for:
- transfers
- pay anyone payments·
- bill payments
- multiple funds transfers
- international transfers.
There are two types of access:
- Creators are given access to create payments only on an account that is set up with payment approvals.
- Approvers are given access to approve payments on an account that has been set up with payment approvals.
You can set up one or two approvers on your accounts. You can both be set up as creators and approvers.
Once you’re set up, you can view the creators and approvers on an account on the Account details screen in NAB Internet Banking and the NAB app.
