If you're Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander and you don't have any of the required forms of identification, please call our Indigenous Customer Service line on 1800 966 100 Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 7:00pm (AEST/AEDT) or visit your nearest NAB branch.
Under the age of 18
If you’re under the age of 18, you’ll need two forms of ID to apply online. One of these can be your birth certificate.
Applying for a joint account
You can apply to share this account with another person. If you open a joint account online with someone else, both people can access the money in the account at any time by themselves.
If you want to set up your account so both people must give permission to deposit or withdraw money, please come into a branch. Don’t apply online.

If you don’t have a TIN due to exceptional circumstances, you’ll need to open your account by visiting us in a branch or by calling us on 13 22 65.

Electronic statements
- We’ll deliver your account statements electronically for the products selected unless you change your settings in NAB Internet Banking.
- You’ll need to check your account statements in NAB Internet Banking or the NAB app to ensure you report any unauthorised transactions.

- Make sure your email address and contact details are up to date. You can make changes to your details in NAB Internet Banking or the NAB app.
