When will I benefit from a 0% international transaction fee?

Most debit cards charge fees for purchases made in foreign currencies when shopping overseas or online with international retailers. With no international transaction fee on international purchases, a NAB Platinum Visa Debit card lets you make the most of your money when shopping overseas and online, so you can spend your money on the things you want.

How can I avoid debit card fees when travelling overseas?

Your NAB Platinum Visa Debit card has no international transaction fees on purchases, so you can use your card in shops overseas without worrying about extra fees and charges. Withdrawing cash from an overseas ATM will incur a 3.5% fee, plus an overseas ATM fee of $5 AUD. Overseas ATM operators may also charge you a fee to use their ATMs. To avoid overseas ATM withdrawal fees on your card, consider your cash needs and options before you leave.

Other account options to consider

NAB Platinum Visa Debit Card and NAB Visa Debit Cards require a linked NAB transaction account. You can link an existing NAB transaction account within your debit card application or open a NAB Classic Banking account, as well as a savings account.
