Why inclusion matters
Many companies, practices or businesses aim to create an environment that is welcoming and inclusive for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, and asexual (LGBTQIA+) employees, customers, clients, and patients. Yet, even with the best intentions, it can be challenging to know exactly what to say, how to say it, or how to implement meaningful change.
Here at NAB, we know that when it comes to inclusion, everyday interactions matter as much as formal processes or policies, that’s why we want to provide a little helping hand.
Watch our short video of NAB colleagues sharing why LGBTQIA+ inclusion at work matters to them as colleagues and as customers.
Recommended resources
To get some tips on how to build a more inclusive environment for LGBTQIA+ employees, customers, clients, and patients, we have put together a set of customisable resource templates you can view, download, and adapt to use within your very own business model.
While we’re proud of what we do to support our customers and colleagues – we recognise that every business is unique. Each resource is intended as general guidance only to help you on your journey to creating a more inclusive workplace - it is up to you to adapt these resources to fit your needs.
If you would like some specialised support, you can connect with the experts we have listed at the bottom of the page.
