Rachel Slade

Rachel Slade became Group Executive, Business and Private Banking in April 2024. Rachel has more than 20 years of experience in banking and financial services.

As Group Executive, Business and Private Banking, Rachel is focused on supporting NAB’s small and medium (SME) business customers. This includes NAB’s leading business banking franchise, micro and small business segments, specialised Agriculture, Health, Property, Government, Education and Community services along with Private Banking, JBWere and NAB Trade.

Prior to this, Rachel was Group Executive, Personal Banking. In this role, she led NAB’s Personal Bank, serving millions of customers’ home lending and everyday banking needs across digital and direct channels and NAB’s branch network.

Before this, Rachel was Chief Customer Experience Officer from 2018 to 2020, delivering on NAB’s vision to be trusted by customers for exceptional service with accountability for products, digital and marketing. Rachel was also Executive General Manager Deposits and Transaction Services from 2017 to 2018.

Prior to joining NAB, Rachel held several senior positions at Westpac, including in Global Transactional Services and in the Retail and Business divisions.

With a strong emphasis on customer experience, Rachel is focused on serving NAB’s customers and helping communities prosper, with a passion for customer-led innovation, transformation and simplicity.

Rachel has a Bachelor of Economics (Hons) with Business Law from Macquarie University. She is a graduate of the Women’s Leadership program at Harvard Business School.
